Jitae
지태 (Jitae)
About This Pattern
Jitae represents a man standing on the ground with two feet, looking up at the sky. This philosophical concept embodies the human condition - grounded on earth yet aspiring to the heavens.
The pattern symbolises the human struggle for existence through various physical actions performed on the ground. All the living creatures on earth come from the earth and return to the earth, representing the cycle of life and the importance of staying grounded while reaching for higher ideals.
