About This Pattern

Taegeuk 7 represents the trigram "Gan" (艮), symbolising Mountain. Mountains are immovable, solid, and firm. This pattern teaches stability and perseverance - knowing when to stop, when to move, and having the wisdom to distinguish between the two.

New techniques introduced: Tiger stance (Beom seogi), Cross stance (Kkoa seogi), Palm block (Batangson makgi), Scissor block (Gawi makgi), Double uppercut (Jeocheo jireugi), Knee strike (Mureup chigi), Crescent kick (Bandal chagi)

Turn 90° LEFT

Tiger stance (Beom seogi) + Palm block (Batangson makgi)

After movement 24, turn 180° to return to ready stance (Junbi) facing the original direction.
